NOVASTAR N9 VIDEO SWITCHER

The N9 is a high-performance multi-screen video switcher developed by NovaStar, delivering ultra-high-quality images, supporting up to 9 inputs and 4 DVI outputs simultaneously. A single N9 can handle an 8K screen, and multiple units can be cascaded for even larger displays.

  • Supports up to 9 inputs: Including HDMI, DVI, VGA, and 3G-SDI formats.
  • Layer management: Handles up to 7 layers simultaneously, with a maximum resolution of 3840×2160, 7680×1080, or 1920×4320 per layer.
  • Customizable Settings: BKG settings, layer cloning, Z-order sorting, cropping, and color keying.
  • Mosaic and Outputs: Quick mosaic options, with mosaic width up to 15360x600 and 4 DVI mosaic outputs.
  • Advanced EDID management: Supports custom and standard EDIDs for enhanced compatibility.
  • Presets: 32 presets for easy configuration and recall.
  • Cascading Support: Multiple N9 units can be cascaded for larger displays.

Input Ports:
  • INPUT-1: Dual-link DP 1.1 input, replaceable with HDMI 1.4, DP 1.1, or dual-link DVI. Supports 3840×1080@60Hz.
  • INPUT-2: HDMI 1.3, replaceable with DVI, VGA, or CVBS. Supports 1920x1080@60Hz.
  • INPUT-3–INPUT-6: DVI inputs, VESA standard compliant, 1920x1080@60Hz.
  • INPUT-7: DP 1.2, supports up to 3840x2160@60Hz.
  • INPUT-9: 3G-SDI, supports up to 1920x1080@60Hz.
Output Ports:
  • HDMI: Output connector for monitoring input sources, PVW, and PGM.
  • DVI1–DVI4: Mosaic and backup outputs, with dual-link support on DVI1 and DVI3 for higher resolutions.
  • HDMI1/HDMI2: 2 Aux output connectors.

  • ETHERNET: RJ45 connector for control.
  • USB Type-B: Connection to a control computer.
  • USB Type-A: Used for cascading multiple N9 units.
  • IN–Genlock–LOOP: For synchronizing cascaded devices and achieving vertical synchronization.
